EXPLR’s mission is to help students thrive in school and life by providing real-world, relevant, and rigorous educational resources and opportunities. EXPLR creates educational videos to educate, inspire, and empower youth to be catalysts for change.

Committed to inclusivity, EXPLR provides multilingual content, accessible design, and offline solutions to bridge the digital divide and ensure equitable learning opportunities for all.

ED's mission is to promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness by fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access.

ED was created in 1980 by combining offices from several federal agencies. ED's 4,400 employees and $68 billion budget are dedicated to:

  • Establishing policies on federal financial aid for education, and distributing as well as monitoring those funds.

  • Collecting data on America's schools and disseminating research.

  • Focusing national attention on key educational issues.

  • Prohibiting discrimination and ensuring equal access to education.

The Raise the Bar: STEM Excellence for All Students initiative is designed to strengthen Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education nationwide. This new Biden-Harris Administration initiative will help implement and scale equitable, high-quality STEM education for all students from PreK to higher education—regardless of background— to ensure their 21st century career readiness and global competitiveness.

  • Ensure all students from PreK to higher education excel at rigorous, relevant, and joyful STEM learning.

  • Develop and support STEM educators to join, grow, and stay in the STEM teaching profession.

  • Invest in STEM education strategically and sufficiently using American Rescue Plan and other federal, state, and local funds.
